The Chilean health system

I will talk about a sensitive and controversial topic, the Chilean health system, until last year I was one of the people who thought that the system was inefficient and that only those who had money were saved, I don't think so now.
Unfortunately my mother got sick las November, when I was in Santiago my family did not want to tell me what was happening, I only knew that she was hospitalized urgently for something in the stomach, but this was not the case, she had cancer in the colon.
She was treated at the hospital in Los Ángeles, after performing some tests, she was operated on less than two weeks after her hospitalization, I was very surprised and suspected what was happening.
Thanks to the timely action of the doctors at the hospital, my mother is now very well, they removed all the damaged cells, but she still has continuous check-ups to prevent problems.
It is for all this that my oponion changed a little, although the system needs to improve, it is also true that sometimes the professionals are not enough for the number of patients there are, I think my mother was lucky considering the global crisis.
