My study programme: Architecture

Imagen
Hello guys! As I have told you in other blogs, I am studying Architecture at the University of Chile, the degree has had several changes in the subject of the mesh, in 2016 several subjects were changed and specialty electives were added to the training, something which in my opinion is fine, what I didn't like is that in 2022 they lowered the number of hours of these subjects to avoid the academic load problems that the degree has, but in this way the electives have fewer hours and it is spent less material and some teachers leave many tasks outside the classroom, which increases mental health problems. I think it would be very helpful for new generations to be taught BIM programs from an early stage in their degree since currently there are only a few branches that teach it (mainly electives), in addition to being few hours and for few students, which causes the studies to be inequitable. Regarding the academic load, I think it is very difficult to change the mentality tha...

Time travel: Futuro

Imagen
Hi guys!! Today I will talk to you about the past and the future, rather where I would like to travel, I think it would be very interesting if it could be achieved, I would love to have a time turner like in Harry Potter. If I'm honest, I'm tempted to travel to the past and I would change many things in my life and environment, but I also think about what that can cause, perhaps create a paradox and make the world explode... I think I'm very exaggerated. That is why I would like to go to the future, I think there are more possibilities, knowing what my life will be like and what I will do fills me with curiosity. I would like to travel about 20 years ahead, see if my dreams come true, see my life, will I be married or will I travel around the world? It would be very entertaining to witness, and if I don't like what I see, I can do something to change it and create a parallel timeline. In the end, our decisions are supposed to determine what we will be in the future. I ...

My dream job: Architecture

Imagen
Hello! Today I am going to tell you about my dream job, since I was little I wanted to be many things, from a teacher to a police officer, today I don't see myself in any of those jobs. I like architecture and although at some point I only saw it as a hobby (putting together puzzles of famous buildings), I have grown to love it more and more and today I only see myself in the future as an architect. After Before My dream is to go abroad to perfect myself in restoring heritage buildings - at this moment I am doing my degree seminar in this area - in Chile old buildings are not taken care of and my idea is to change this situation, even a little, for that I think I would have to work on the National Monuments Council. Another area that also interests me is having my own architecture office to design, restore and remodel buildings in ruin or damage, ideally that have heritage value. Ideally, I would earn money to be able to travel abroad and see many beautiful places, which would hel...

The best Holidays

Imagen
Hello guys  Today I will tell you about my vacation, honestly my family and I are not one to go to big hotels and visit many places, we usually go to my grandmother's house ( unfortunately she is no longer here ) where we all get together as a family, I have 8 uncles and many cousins, who also have children, as you can imagine... that's a lot of people.  Although I love seeing my family, my best vacations are when I am only with my parents and my sister, we go for a week to the countryside near Yumbel, but in the rural area, we disconnect from technology ( there is no cell phone signal ), you can breathe fresh air and we can have contact with nature. I can't tell you about a specific date because we go every year (except during the pandemic), but last summer was especially lovely, since it was the first time after the COVID confinement, we had a great time, in the countryside there are horses and many hectares of forest so the tranquility is incredible, my favorite part i...

Country: France

Imagen
Hello everyone Today I will talk about a country that I would love to visit: France. It is one of the European countries where ancient buildings are best preserved, along with Italy, which I would also like to visit, but that story is for another day. France borders several countries, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Spain, as well as having access to the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. París Specifically, I would like to visit Paris, it is one of the cities that I find most interesting, because of its history and obviously because of its buildings, there are many places to visit, such as the famous Louvre museum, the great Eiffel Tower, the palaces, castles and cathedrals ... but not everything is architecture (although I love it) you can also visit other landscapes and get to know their food and drinks. Notre Dame Cathedral  Eiffel Tower Lavender fields Louvre Museum In the future I would like to be able to study in France, especially something...

The Chilean health system

Imagen
Hello! I will talk about a sensitive and controversial topic, the Chilean health system, until last year I was one of the people who thought that the system was inefficient and that only those who had money were saved, I don't think so now. Unfortunately my mother got sick las November, when I was in Santiago my family did not want to tell me what was happening, I only knew that she was hospitalized urgently for something in the stomach, but this was not the case, she had cancer in the colon. She was treated at the hospital in Los Ángeles, after performing some tests, she was operated on less than two weeks after her hospitalization, I was very surprised and suspected what was happening. Thanks to the timely action of the doctors at the hospital, my mother is now very well, they removed all the damaged cells, but she still has continuous check-ups to prevent problems. Politics

Hello!!! Today I will talk to you about something very important, Civic duty, we have the power to choose what we want and what seems right that we have to exercise to maintain it. In Chile, after many years, voting was once again compulsory for citizens over 18 years of age, due to the low number of people who voted in presidential, parliamentary and municipal elections. On september 4, a plebiscite was held to approve or reject the proposed Constitution of our country, in which the rejection option was chosen by more than 60% of the population.  I believe that the result was due to the lack of credibility in the people who wrote the constitutional manuscript, due to the controversies in whick they were involved, the latter including all political sectors. See you soon!!
